Elizabeth Ann “Betty Ann” Lee, age 86, wife of the late John “Jack” C. Lee, Sr., passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, with her beloved family by her side. She was born in Wilmington, DE on January 20, 1938, to the late Constantine and Ann (Czerwinski) Petka.

Betty Ann attended St. Hedwig’s Grade School and graduated from St. Elizabeth’s High School. Betty Ann was a member of St. John the Beloved Roman Catholic Church where she was active in the BVM Sodality. In previous years she was a member with the Holy Rosary Society at St. Hedwig Catholic Church, where she married Jack, the love of her life. Betty Ann enjoyed spending time with family and friends, whether it was long rides through Lancaster County Pennsylvania, or trips to the wineries of Virginia. Wherever it was, being with family and friends was always important to her. She will be remembered most for her kind, caring and loving ways towards everyone.

She is survived by her children Christine Lee Turner (Nick), Lynda Lee, Joanne Lee Wright (Eddie), Jackie Lee Dunning (Doug) and John C. Lee, Jr., all of Wilmington, DE; brothers Robert Petka (Kay) and William Petka (Debbie); sisters Patricia Hammond (Terry) and Connie Lindy. Elizabeth is also survived by sister-in-law’s Patricia Petka and Betty Petka and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her late parents, Elizabeth is preceded in death by her brothers Edward and Joseph Petka and brother-in-law Jim Lindy.

A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:30AM on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at St. John the Beloved Roman Catholic Church, 907 Milltown Rd., Wilmington, DE 19808. Visitation at the church will be held immediately prior to the mass beginning at 10:30AM. Entombment will be in Cathedral Cemetery.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to all our caregivers and Bayada Hospice who gave our Mom amazing care and showed so much kindness during this challenging time.
