The Georgia Academy for Economic Development was started in 1993 by a consortium of public and private organizations involved in economic development. The program is designed to enhance community leaders’ skills and knowledge so that more communities in Georgia may remain or become successful.

Our Alumni

Over 10,000 Georgia leaders have graduated from the Georgia Academy for Economic Development Regional Program. Thousands of elected officials have participated in the One Day Academy, with the Georgia Municipal Association continuing to utilize the program as the accredited economic development training for municipal elected officials.
