While we’ve barely had time to unpack our suitcases after all the Cruise, Resort and pre-fall shows, fashion’s relentless pendulum makes yet another fell swoop, and we’ve arrived at the start of a new, bumper fashion month. This time, it’s the turn of the men’s and couture shows, and while we’ve already seen Charles Jeffrey and Craig Green kick things off in London last weekend, we now have Milan and Paris to keep us going until the end of the month. And while it’s business as usual for most of the schedule, there’s just a few things you’ll need to be aware of this SS25 season – so scroll down for more on the upcoming events.

MILAN FASHION WEEK MEN’S

The Italian fashion capital is first up on the schedule, with proceedings officially starting on Friday, June 14. Kicking things off is Moschino, and many will be keeping a keen eye on Adrian Appiolaza’s first menswear outing for the brand. After his appointment at the start of this year, Appiolaza presented his debut collection in February – a playful AW24 offering that was pared-back in comparison to Jeremy Scott’s high-camp tenure. Will Appiolaza continue to mine the references of Franco Moschino like in his first show, or put those references through a shredder as the label’s Instagram hints at?

Elsewhere in the city, Dan and Dean Caten are returning after Dean shut down the Dsquared2 runway in full drag last season, Swarovski’s blockbuster travelling exhibition Masters of Light is finally coming to town, while Jordanluca is also set to make its own anticipated return after recently catching the ire of Daily Mail readers for its subversive, piss-stained jeans.

If all that wasn’t enough, the world will finally witness a Miuccia-Martine B2B, as Prada and Martine Rose take up neighbouring slots on Sunday afternoon. While Prada is a much-needed mainstay of the schedule each season, Martine shows are few and far between, so expect to see editors rushing from Miuccia’s Via Lorenzi show to make it to Martine in time (for everything else on the schedule, check out the other shows here).

PARIS FASHION WEEK MEN’S

After a standout Central Saint Martins BA show in London, one to watch out for on the Paris schedule is IFM Bachelor of Arts on Tuesday, June 18, which is the BA show for France’s prestigious fashion school Institut Français de la Mode.

While we’re expecting a predictably blockbuster offering from Pharrell over at Louis Vuitton, we’re also keeping our sights firmly set on Bianca Saunders, who will be showing for the first time since winning the BFC/GQ Designer Fashion Fund 2024, and also Dior Homme, which has recently released a Stone Island capsule collection. Will any of those blokecore-coded new garms make it onto the Paris runway? Stay tuned.

Aside from the catwalks, there’s practically too much to choose from happening across the cobbled streets this time around. On June 20, Courrèges is opening its brand new store, with photographer Mark Borthwick signing prints from the lookbook he shot; June 20-22 sees the return of KALEIDOSCOPE’s Manifesto XXIV, an arts and culture programme featuring a talk from Michele Lamy; and on June 23, Namesake and 7uice are organising a basketball match between the two labels which promises to be an unforgettable community event.

Paris Fashion Week Men’s also has the luck of being on the same weekend as the Fête de la Musique, so expect some standout parties as well. Matthew Williams’ 1017 ALYX 9SM label is curating its own line-up on June 18 featuring Overmono and DJ Python, Dazed100-alums La Creole are also having a big blowout at FVTVR on June 20, and Rinse FM are heading to buzzy nightclub Virage on June 21.

COUTURE WEEK

Staying in Paris, following hot on the heels of menswear will be Couture AW24, with Schiaparelli taking its usual opening spot on June 24, and Balenciaga returning to the schedule for the first time since last July for its yearly couture offering.

Elsewhere, all eyes will be on Chanel’s June 25 show, the first runway since the shock announcement that Virginie Viard is exiting the brand, and the designer’s final collection at the helm. And, finally, Courrèges artistic director Nicolas Di Felice is this season’s guest designer at Jean Paul Gaultier, with the fashion world eagerly anticipating the sensual spin he’ll bring to that famed house of couture.
