Miu Miu just made Gigi join the fuck ass bob brigade

Bobbery abounds in Miu Miu’s latest campaign… plus more fashion news you missed

“Dinner & a chop,” wrote Gigi Hadid on Instagram a few weeks ago, under a video of hairdresser Chris McMillan cutting off her hair. Though the post was very “I did a thing”-coded, we couldn’t help think that the fuck ass bob agreed with Gigi – and now we get to see it in its first ever campaign. This week, the supermodel and her new cut star in Miu Miu’s latest leather goods campaign, one that features the Wander and Arcadie bags in caramel and canary. Shot by Steven Meisel and styled by Lotta Volkova, the campaign was inspired by the work of 1920s photographer Yevonde Middleton. Known as a staunch women’s liberationist and supporter of the Suffragette movement, Middleton became an icon of her practice, and also pioneered the use of colour in photography, which is heavily referenced in this current campaign.
