Around 10:05 p.m. Sunday, Dayton police were called to the 500 block of Deeds Avenue.
A 911 caller reported a male had been stabbed, according to Montgomery County Regional Dispatch. The man, later identified as Middleton, was transported to Miami Valley Hospital.
When officers arrived, they found a 43-year-old male victim and a 45-year-old male suspect, said Dayton police Lt. Steven Bauer.
“The victim was suffering from stab wounds in his abdomen,” he added. “The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment from his injuries and died (Monday) morning.”
The suspect was arrested and is being held in the Montgomery County Jail.
Dayton Police Department’s Homicide Unit is continuing to investigate.
