Grant S. Moise is currently Chief Executive Officer of DallasNews Corporation and the Publisher of The Dallas Morning News, one of the leading daily newspapers in the United States.  In his role, Grant is responsible for both The Dallas Morning News and Medium Giant, which is one of Texas’ largest marketing and advertising agencies serving clients nationwide.

Previously, Grant served as General Manager of The Dallas Morning News and Senior Vice President of Business Development for DallasNews Corporation.  He managed mergers and acquisitions for DallasNews Corporation and oversaw the integration of new companies into the company’s marketing solutions ecosystem – including The Dallas Morning News core assets, as well as six new businesses that were built or acquired during the past five years.  Prior to that, Grant served as the Vice President of Digital for The Dallas Morning News where he was responsible for the monetization of all digital assets.

In addition to Grant’s direct responsibilities, he also sits on the boards of the News Media Alliance, Dallas Citizens Council, Cary M. Maguire Center for Ethics and Public Responsibility at SMU, and the Neeley School of Business Board of Advisors at TCU.

He has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Kansas and an MBA from Texas Christian University.

A native of New Mexico, Grant currently resides in Dallas with his wife, Katie, and their three children, Macy, Lyle and Reid.

Katy Murray serves as President, Treasurer and Corporate Secretary of DallasNews Corporation.  She joined the Company as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in April 2015.  She is responsible for the Company’s Finance and Accounting, Human Resource, Compliance, Information Technology, Legal, Product Strategy, Data Analytics, and the Production and Distribution Operations of The Dallas Morning News.

Katy has more than 30 years of finance and operations experience. Prior to joining DallasNews Corporation, Katy served as a financial management consultant to the Finance Committee of SourceHOV, a global provider of business process solutions, strategic consulting from October 2013 through April 2014. Prior to that, she served as Executive Vice President/Chief Financial Officer of SourceHOV from November 2011 through September 2013. From 2006 to October 2010, Murray was Executive Vice President/Chief Financial Officer of Taleo, a leading provider of human capital management software.

Katy holds a Bachelor of Science degree and Master of Science degree in Accounting from Louisiana State University. She is a licensed CPA in the state of Louisiana.

Katy currently serves as Chair of the board of directors of Downtown Dallas, Inc.

Leona Allen Ford, a Pulitzer Prize winner, became Deputy Publisher of The Dallas Morning News in August 2020. She’s responsible for diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives across the company. In April 2022, her role expanded to include Chief Talent and Diversity Officer for The Dallas Morning News and Medium Giant, the company’s marketing services agency. She’s responsible for all human resources functions for the company.

During her 38-year career and nearly 30 years at the company, Leona has also served as deputy managing editor for Local News, assistant managing editor, night city editor, suburban editor and deputy Metro editor. In those roles, she was deeply involved in community relations and ensured that coverage was representative of all aspects of the communities our products served.

Cathy Collins

Cathy Collins joined the Company in 2018 as Director of Finance supporting the digital side of The Dallas Morning News advertising. She was promoted to Senior Director of Finance in June 2019 and her responsibilities were expanded to include all areas of The Dallas Morning News and Medium Giant. In August 2021, Cathy was promoted to Vice President of Finance and assumed the responsibility for all finance responsibilities. She also chairs the Company’s 401(k) Committee. Cathy was promoted to Chief Financial Officer in March 2024.

Cathy has more than 25 years of accounting and finance experience, with a majority of that in the media industry. Prior to joining the Company, Cathy worked at ALM (American Lawyer Media) for 16 years, first as controller (1998-2005), and then as regional publisher (2005-2014).

Cathy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of North Texas and is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Texas.

Chris Patheiger is the Chief Product and Innovation Officer at DallasNews Corporation and its subsidiary, The Dallas Morning News, one of the leading daily newspapers in the United States. Chris is responsible for product strategy, technology and digital transformation.

Prior to joining The Dallas Morning News, Chris served as Chief Product and Data Officer at Torstar Corporation, overseeing digital assets for Canada’s largest daily newspaper, the Toronto Star and the Metroland Media Group properties. As a Director at Trader Corporation, Chris led national advertising and data products at AutoTrader.ca and has successfully guided two startups to acquisition.

A recognized leader in the news and digital publishing industries, Chris frequently speaks and contributes to thought leadership at international conferences on media innovation and business transformation. He also serves on the boards of the International News Media Association (INMA) and as a board observer for the Local Media Consortium (LMC).

Originally from Toronto, Chris now lives in Dallas with his wife, Melanie.

Katrice Hardy is Vice President and Executive Editor of The Dallas Morning News. Previously, she was Executive Editor of The Indianapolis Star and Midwest regional editor for USA TODAY Network.

When Katrice joined the network in 2016, she was the Executive Editor of The Greenville News and then took on responsibilities as the South regional editor overseeing news organizations in South Carolina, North Carolina, Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi and Virginia.

Previously, she had worked for 20 years at The Virginian-Pilot, where she started as an intern and left as managing editor.

Her IndyStar newsroom and its reporting partners The Marshall Project, AL.com and Invisible Institute were awarded the 2021 Pulitzer Prize for National Reporting for “Mauled: When Police Dogs are Weapons,” and the newsrooms where she has led have won multiple IRE, Editor & Publishers and a myriad of state honors as well.

She is a board member of The Marshall Project, a member of the National Association of Black Journalists, the Dallas Assembly and the International Women’s Forum.

Katrice believes strongly that a news organization’s role is to shine light on wonderful people and organizations making a difference in local communities and to uncover the problems, ills, misuses and abuses to help make positive change.

As Editorial Page Editor, Rudy Bush oversees The Dallas Morning News Editorial Board, a team of experienced journalists who help shape our opinions on an array of issues. As Rudy said when he took on his current role, the Editorial Board is “a fantastic group of journalists who care deeply about Dallas and North Texas.”

Rudy’s own journey in journalism began in 1998 at the San Antonio Express-News, where he worked his way up from doing the stock pages and clipping reporters’ entries for contests to working as a night shift reporter.

In 2001, he joined the Chicago Tribune, where he covered gang crime, the mob and any crazy thing that happened in the Windy City on a given day. He became a Washington-based national correspondent in 2004 and covered Barack Obama’s first year in the U.S. Senate. He returned to Chicago to cover the trial of one governor and the indictment of another.

Rudy, who holds a B.A., M.A. and MBA from the University of Dallas, returned to Texas in 2007 as City Hall reporter for The News. His career has taken him back and forth between the news pages and the opinion pages. He has worked as a reporter, columnist and editor. He was named vice president and Editorial Page Editor in 2022. He sees his role as providing readers with a variety of intelligent perspectives from diverse contributors about things that matter to Dallas and North Texas.

Rudy lives in Dallas with his four children, their big dog, Mae, and their black cat, Mr. Lucky.

Sue Kerr joined The Dallas Morning News in 2018 as VP of Print Audience, bringing along four decades of industry expertise. Prior to joining the team, she led customer service operations across all Tribune properties while simultaneously managing the consumer revenue and audience teams at the Hartford Courant.  Sue is a career-long subscription marketer and innovator, having worked in all facets of the print circulation business, ranging from acquisition to engagement to customer service and retention. She then took her expertise and applied it to launching digital subscriptions at the Courant, along with the implementation of their first-ever paywall.

In 2020, Sue was promoted to VP of Consumer Revenue here at The Dallas Morning News. Her primary focus is on increasing consumer revenue while driving audience growth as The News transitions to a digitally focused company. In this role, Sue is responsible for digital growth strategy and lead generation, as well as acquisition and retention. She directly oversees the Audience Development, Acquisition, Loyalty & Engagement, Marketing Operations and Customer Service teams, along with a multimillion-dollar budget.

Sue is a values-driven professional with a proven track record of driving growth and revenue. As a hands-on leader, she believes communication and collaboration are key to ensuring our continued success, along with decisions that are data formed and integrity based.

Sue is a member of International News Media Association (INMA) and values the exchange of ideas and concepts that drive innovation and progress within the industry. When not in Dallas, Sue enjoys spending time with her husband, Jack, and their two daughters, Nicole and Emma, in their Manchester, Connecticut, home. In her spare time, she loves to cook for family, friends and co-workers.

As President of Medium Giant, John Kiker oversees advertising revenue for all The Dallas Morning News properties as well as Advertising and Marketing Services.

Prior to his role at Medium Giant, John spent 20 years within the Omnicom family of agencies, including leading Business Development at TracyLocke and as President of Integer’s U.S. network. John’s experience spans the entire range of advertising and marketing channels, and he has worked across dozens of categories. He is a multifaceted advertising and commerce marketing executive who focuses on developing talent, fostering culture and growing business. He’s a proven leader, a trusted partner, a passionate teacher and an unconventional thinker.
