Emmerdale's fans believe they've figured out the potential love interest for new character John Sugden, although it happens to be a relative.
Coming soon to the famous village is the character portrayed by Oliver Farnworth, described as a 'brooding and mysterious' man harbouring many secrets. John will be joining another Sudgen in the village, Victoria (played by Isabel Hodgins).
Emmerdale's producer Sophie Roper has hinted at the drama brewing with the new Sugden, commenting: "The Sugdens, just like the Dingles, are an iconic family group in Emmerdale and we're keen to cement them back in the show."

There have been teasers that newcomer John will attract an unsuspecting resident's attention, leading fans to make their own predictions. Some viewers suggest a possible romance between him and Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller).
Considering little has been revealed about John, if he turns out to be Vic's brother who begins a relationship with Aaron, he would be falling in love with his brother Robert's ex, reports the Express.
One user on X, formerly known as Twitter, offered their theory: "So, a Sugden is coming to #Emmerdale, he will connect with his sister Victoria then his car is gonna break down, we find out he's Not Straight, and he's gonna catch the eye of someone (Aaron is the only gay man left on the show now) and there will be a relationship on the horizon."
One fan excitedly tweeted: "imagine Robert coming back to Emmerdale to find out Aaron is with his brother (resulting in affair 2.0! ! ! ! ) pure f*****g perfection I would eat that s**t up."
Another chimed in on social media after hearing about John's entrance, speculating: "A new man for Aaron? " Meanwhile, another viewer speculated: "I wonder if catch the eye of an unsuspecting resident is Aaron as he likes Sugden and he looks a lot like Robert and might be his brother."
Oliver, thrilled about joining the cast, shared: "I am absolutely delighted to be joining the cast of Emmerdale. The show has such a rich history, and the Sugden family is integral to that."
He added enthusiastically: "I'm looking forward to bringing my character to life and working with such a talented and dedicated team."
