A homeowner was left fuming when their rude "neighbours from hell" cut down the garden fence without permission.

Tiffany Raj, from Toronto in Canada, was at her parents' house when she saw the nightmare unfolded.

Sharing a video on TikTok, the woman from next door instructs her husband to rip down the wooden panels using a chainsaw.

Tiffany's dad asks the couple: "Why don't you get a lawyer and get a paper?"

The woman shouts back: "Why a lawyer?"

He asks them to show proof of a survey but the woman shrieks: "How do you know I don't have a survey?"

Her husband then walks out the house and works on the fence closer to the property.

In another video, Tiffany's younger sister can be heard asking the couple to "stop cutting the fence".

And the woman yells at her, warning her that "this is not your property".

The TikToker gave updates to the viewers three weeks ago and said they probably won't hear anything back from the authorities.

"What happened with the fence, we can't do much about it, it's a litigation thing," she said.

Viewers were divided and many believed Tiffany and her family could be in the wrong for this.

One said: "The way the fence is facing, it would seem it is their fence."

"I thought if the seams were facing their property, it's their fence?" another asked and a third also mentioned: "Feel like the fence is placed in their property and that's the reason you won't file a report."

Others said they should have communciated to each other as fences are "shared property".

"You can always put a second fence in the meantime," a person suggested.
