ITV host Lorraine Kelly was unambiguous in her support for Kym Marsh's relationship while broadcasting her morning programme.

On Tuesday's episode of the popular chat show, Lorraine provided a blend of entertainment updates alongside discussions on current affairs and health topics. However, when joined by entertainment correspondent Ria Hebden, Lorraine freely aired her views.

Ria candidly discussed the romantic relationship of former Coronation Street actress Kym, 48, with 101 Dalmatians musical co-star Samuel Thomas, 29, mentioning that Kym has been obliged to defend her romance due to the age disparity.

However, Lorraine was strongly supportive, exclaiming adamantly "so what! So what! " She also conveyed her annoyance about this scenario.

Lorraine then expressed that it was "good for her", indicating her support for Kym. Ria concurred and noted: "Exactly! And she's not the first celebrity to fall in love with someone that's you know, a little bit younger!" reports the Mirror.

Kym Marsh is dating a younger man
Lorraine fumes 'so what' as she defends Kym Marsh's new relationship

"Priyanka Chopra married Nick Jonas, she's 41 God forbid he's 31. Cher is now with her dancer Alexander Edwards."

Lorraine chimed in: "He's lucky to be with Cher! And he may or may not be able to keep up with her! ".

Ria rebutted: "I don't know why society gets funny about women dating younger men when men have done this historically."

Lorraine supported Ria's point and also introduced singer Peter Andre into the discussion.

On a morning show appearance, Peter was candid about the 16-year age gap with his wife Emily. He conceded that it shouldn't be an issue, but their differences in taste often become apparent when they discuss classic music.

Actress Kym recently took to Instagram to share a picture of her and new partner Samuel sharing a romantic kiss. The star captioned the image: "Met the most amazing man ever! Sometimes the most unexpected things happen at the most unexpected times. @samuelthomasuk I love you #beautiful #soulmate #loveyou", thus confirming their relationship on the social media platform.

At present, Kym and Samuel are showcasing their talents in the UK and Ireland tour of the renowned musical, 101 Dalmatians. Within the production, Kym takes on the role of Cruella de Vil, whilst Samuel assumes the character of Tom Dearly.
