Frozen-out Ryan Kent looks set to leave Fenerbahce with three English clubs circling - and it sparked an, erm, mixed response from Turkish fans.

The former Rangers winger has had a disastrous time of it in his first season at Fener which is almost certain to be his only one after being bombed out of the squad in February, never to return. He started just once in the Turkish Pro League - the very first game of the season - and quickly became a highly unpopular figure.

Darren Witcoop reports on X that Premier League newboys Ipswich are keen, as are two clubs in the English Championship, and that he is 'exploring all options' before deciding where he's off to. But it wasn't long before the news was hijacked by Fenerbahce fans - who jokingly swear NO ONE wants him to leave after a calamitous season. One wrote 'No, it can't be. He should not leave, our best player,' while another said 'After all, Kent was one of our best players, we will cry if he leaves, I'm so sorry.'

The tears were truly flowing as another punter chimed in 'He should definitely not go, I will cry if he goes,' and another fan demanded a hefty transfer fee, saying: 'The team who brings €15m gets him.'

But not everyone was in on the joke. One simply said 'Golllllllllllllll,' and another added: 'Sell to the first offer and go.'
