A man has been rushed to hospital after a blade attack in Aberdeen city centre.

Cops raced to Union Street shortly after midnight on Saturday night after reports of a stabbing.

A 35-year-old was rushed to hospital, where he is in a serious condition. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

Police Scotland have launched a probe into the blade horror. They have urged anyone with information to come forward.

A force spokesperson said: “Around 12.25am on Sunday, 7 July, 2024, police received a report of the serious assault of a 32-year-old man on Union Street, near to Market Street, Aberdeen."

They added: "The man was taken to hospital for treatment and enquiries remain ongoing.”
