Optical illusions serve many purposes and the latest claims to uncover if you're strong willed or laid back.

Some puzzles boost brain health like cognitive skills and may keep your thinking skills sharp, while others are purely to keep us entertained. But there are some that can reveal aspects of our personalities and this confusing image can delve into a person's subconscious to reveal what the mind is thinking deep within.

This is known as a literal optical illusion, one comprised of two or more pictures to create a larger image. It is what you see first that decides the outcome as your brain processes what your eyes are taking in.

This illustration appears to depict a forest landscape, but there is also an animal hidden within. Some are able to spot one image immediately, while it takes a bit longer for others, the Mirror reports.

What our eyes see is hundreds of milliseconds behind reality - because our brains have to take in the images in front of us and process how to react to them at super speed, which means that we must rely on a series of assumptions to stay safe.

The First Image You See Can Reveal What Your Heart Longs for Most
What do you see first?

In this image, if you first saw trees against an orange-hued sky then you are supposedly the kind of person who has a strong intuition that you rely on as you go about your day, and are unlikely to listen to anything over your own gut instincts.

It also may mean if you saw trees first that you're a really relaxed, laid-back kind of person and that you are happy spending time in your own company, unbothered by the quiet.

However, if you saw a tiger first then you're said to be a strong-minded individual, who will never doubt your decisions. However, you're unlikely to look for trouble and will wait until an issue actually becomes problematic before taking steps to deal with it.

If you saw both images at the same time, then likely you have a combination of both of these character traits.
