The sun came out indoors at St Margaret’s High as pupils shone on stage during the school’s pitch-perfect production of classic musical Annie .

The marvellous musical formed part of the Airdrie school’s 50th anniversary celebrations and the talented performers were on Easy Street as they starred in front of proud parents and family members.

Jennifer Ford made for an awesome Annie , Hannah Cannon delighted as Miss Hannigan and Josh Costello had a ball playing Daddy Warbucks.

The classic tunes were belted out with great gusto

A St Margaret’s High spokesperson told Lanarkshire Live: “It had been a while since the school had put on a production and we thought, what better way to celebrate its 50th anniversary than bringing back the magic of a live performance?

"The pupils all did an outstanding job and showed just how talented they are.

"We'd like to thank everyone involved in the production, both on stage and off, for all of their hard work and dedication to putting on the best shows possible."
