Lewis was the big winner on Tuesday, when he took the stage to celebrate his wins with emotive speeches while clutching a bottle of Buckfast.
The 15% volume fortified wine has been made by Benedictine monks at Buckfast Abbey in Devon since the 1920s but it has become notorious in Scotland because of repeated links with drunken and violent crime and antisocial behaviour.
Due to its high caffeine content - with 750mls containing the same as eight cans of Coke - it is believed the stimulant is enough without needing alcohol. In 2016, a Scottish judge stated: 'Drinking four bottles a day is not conducive to a long life'.
The Glaswegian singer's choice of alcohol seemed to rile one Twitter user, who shared a snap of his win while he was clutching a bottle of the controversial booze.

Eek! During the awards show, Lewis left fans in hysterics when he revealed to the audience the true inspiration behind his award-winning song Someone You Loved was not Love Island contestant Paige Turley but instead his late Grandmother
While poking fun at his ex, the self professed 'Scottish Beyonce' said: 'Thanks very much for this. Contrary to popular belief, a lot of people think this song is about my ex girlfriend who you can now see every night on Love Island...
'But it is actually about my grandmother who has sadly passed away a few years ago. And I hope to god ITV don't contact her to go on a reality TV show.'
The star ended his bizarre acceptance speech saying: 'And thanks for my grandmother for dying!'
Bottoms up! Lewis was drinking on-stage following his win
