He tweeted: 'I'm absolutely gutted to say I have to cancel my show at Razzmatazz in Barcelona this evening, I've become really unwell and doctors have advised I need to rest.
'I'm really sorry guys. If you contact your original point of purchase they will inform you how you can get a full refund.
'Hope to see you all again very soon. James.'
The star's fans were quick to respond, reassuring him that his priority should be to care for himself and telling him to put his health first.

James wrote: 'Thanks everyone who came out to see us in Madrid last night, some of you may have noticed the set being cut short and that was due to me being struck with illness on stage, close to passing out half ways through the set, i soldered on as long as I could but unfortunately had to cut a couple songs.
'Very sorry I had to do this it's literally the last thing I ever wanna do. (sic)'
