And Lewis Capaldi revealed he was stuck in an embarrassing situation when his bank card was declined while buying shots for Sam Smith and One Direction star Niall Horan at a star-studded party in LA.
The chart-topper, 22, was told he didn't have enough funds to pay for his drinks bill at the star-studded bash while buying a round of tequila.

He said: 'Niall Horan had played a show in LA and me and my piano player got invited back to this after show thing.
'We go down to this place and Sam Smith was there and Diplo was there. We're thinking "be cool, be cool".
'We got chatting and I was like 'I'll get everybody a drink'. Part of me thought it was going to be a free bar but it wasn't.
'I got a tequila shot for everybody and I thought these guys are going to think I'm so cool.

'I got the bill back and was something north of $200. At this point, I can't afford this and even if I got that bill back now I would be sweating.
'I gave her the card and I was shaking. She goes to swipe the card and pay for it and she says 'It's not actually working'.
'I have got Sam Smith and Niall Horan standing behind me and I said to my piano player in the most subtle way possible 'you're going to have to give me your card right now because we need to get out of this situation'.
He said: 'I got the bill back and was something north of $200. At this point, I can't afford this and even if I got that bill back now I would be sweating'
'I have never been so scared in my life. It was sheer embarrassment. His card worked and I still owe him the money to this day.'
After his album topped the charts last month, Capaldi admitted he was over the moon as 'it feels like I'm going to make some money, finally'.
He had previously reached number one on the UK Singles Chart with his track Someone You Loved.
Lewis is set to hold the Jonas Brothers off the top spot of the albums chart this week. He is on course to enjoy a fourth week at No1, according to the mid-week chart update.

It comes after the singer become a viral sensation after sharing an amusing expletive-filled rant to celebrate his success.
In an interview at a record shop with the Official Charts Company, which had presented him with a gold award, the 22-year-old admitted he is over the moon as 'it feels like I'm going to make some money, finally'.
Admitting he's been 'slogging for so long' to hit the big time, he then launched into an expletive-fuelled tirade in which he poked fun at other artists.

'I look at all these other albums made by people like the Killers, and Hot Snakes, and Guides of Voices, and LCD Soundsystem, and I spit on them, and I say f*****g haha, I say haha f*** off, you albums, my album is number one, you've all been f*****g great albums, but this week, my album is number one. F*** You,' he said.
Capaldi, who had previously reached number one on the UK Singles Chart with his track Someone You Loved, rounded off the interview by admitting he is a 'big fan' of the bands he just heckled.
He added: 'Thank you so much for everyone who did, who got in touch, and... thank you to everyone who went and bought it, and now I have this big gold thing, and I can put it next to my other big gold thing.
'But the other big gold thing, goes somewhere else... F***** nice one! Thank You!'
The funny clip was shared on Twitter by BBC Radio 1 DJ Greg James, who branded it the 'best video the Official Charts Company will ever do', admitting it left him 'absolutely crying' with laughter.
