Kate looked every inch the doting mother as she cuddled up to her daughter, who she shares with husband Stuart Webb, on the couch.
The beaming brunette beauty held up her vintage knitted doll as her pyjama-clad youngster rested on her shoulder.
Shortly after the special edition wrapped, the Nova radio host took to Instagram again to thank her fans for their 'kind' and 'generous' comments.
'Thank you to everyone who watched along tonight (and will on the other side of the world soon enough) and bothered to comment so kindly and generously,' she wrote.
'You didn’t need to or have to but you did. And in a world where it seems only the unkind like to comment it was beautifully comforting,' she added.
Kate concluded the post by suggesting the long-running soap provided some much needed comfort for fans.
'For some it provided a family you never had, for others it taught you to speak English when first arriving in this wonderful country of ours and for the rest it perhaps taught you didn’t have to be the prettiest or most popular girl at school to be happy and loved,' Kate wrote.
