Doctor Who fans slam £230 price tag for 'mug and selfie' with Christopher Eccleston and Peter Capaldi at London Film And Comic Con
Fans of BBC sci-fi series Doctor Who have hit back at London Film And Comic Con organisers after they were told they had to spend £230 to get close to stars Christopher Eccleston and Peter Capaldi.
If loyal fans of the long-running franchise wanted a photo with either former Timelords, they would have to fork out for a 'diamond pass', which pays for a selfie, an 'exclusive mug' and an autograph.
According to The Sun, fans who have booked up for July's event are fuming over the price, calling the expensive fee 'ridiculous'.

The diamond pass - which includes a snap outside the Tardis - with Christopher, 54, will cost £235, while a ticket for Peter, 60, is £10 cheaper.
Just the selfie alone will cost up to £85, and fans have expressed their outrage over the heightened prices.
One fan told the publication: 'We look forward to this event every year, but this time around the money-grabbing prices are ridiculous — they're taking the p***.

'The signing of Chris Eccleston was a massive coup — but I'm not paying £230 for a selfie and a mug. They must think we're mugs.'
MailOnline have contacted representatives for Peter and Christopher for comment.
Sci-fi fans can still bag a photo with the show's sixth Doctor, 74-year-old Colin Baker, for just £15.
Other big names attending the comic book fest include Transformers star Megan Fox and rock icon Meat Loaf - who fans can meet with for £15.

But fans in the US may have a harder time getting close to their favourite stars at the equivalent event next month, as a photo with 10th Timelord David Tennant, 47, will set fans back over £325.
London Comic Con is held in July and sees stars from TV and film appear at the convention which celebrates popular culture.
Autograph signings and photo shoots are an integral part of all conventions, with stars charging fans on top of the £55 three-day ticket price.
