A teaser clip which was broadcast on BBC's Annual Children In Need earlier this month confirms the reporter is named Lucy from the Daily Chronicle (played by Charity Wakefield).
With Nardole (played my Matt Lucas) in the frame, the focus turns to the 'masked vigilante' (Justin Chatwin) outside the glass panel who swoops Lucy up and soars off into the night sky.
'He seems nice', the Doctor witnesses amusingly.
The rest of the trailer sees chaos emerge with brain-swapping aliens poised to attack after being birthed in a laboratory.

This causes the Doctor and Nardole to link up with the investigative reporter and the mysterious masked figure known only as The Ghost in an attempt to save Manhattan.
Actor Matt's appearance comes after his initial turn in a previous instalment of the cult sci-fi series.
He said of the return, back in the summer: 'I’m chuffed to bits that Nardole is returning to the TARDIS for some more adventures. I loved acting with Peter and I’m excited to work with Pearl.'
