'Migration is about going home, which is where you’re from,' a stingray tells the children, who ask how they know where to go.
'Instinct. Something deep inside you that feels so familiar you have to listen to it,' he replies, as Dory is shown having a memory.
The voice of Dory's mother is heard promising that she will 'never forget' her child, but Dory asks: 'What if I forget you?'
Then in the present day, we see the fish suddenly remember her parents, proclaiming: 'My mom, my dad, I have a family!'

She adds to Nemo's father Marlin: 'I miss them. Do you know what that feels like?'
When he sadly replies that he does, she shouts that they 'better get going' and swims off.
It appears however that it isn't long before Dory gets separated from Marlin and Nemo, as we then see her asking for help from other sea creatures, telling them she is looking for her family.
Meanwhile Marlin goes for a ride with hippie sea turtle Crush, confessing that he thinks he is 'going to be sick'.

During the journey Dory runs into an old friend named Destiny, who remembers her forgetful nature fondly.
'It was so much fun because I’d tell you a story and then you’d completely forget about it, and then I’d get to tell you about it over and over again,' the whale shark (voiced by Kaitlin Olson) recounts.
While there are plenty of heart-wrenching scenes in the trailer, and a hold-your-breath moment where Dory is almost picked up by a curious child in shallow water, there are some funny bits too.
