On Thursday, the 6ft Amazon donned a strapless, figure hugging black dress for the 13th Smile Gala at upscale eaterie Cipriani in Manhattan, New York.

The 47-year-old actress went for a more classic style in a fitted, sleeveless, black gown inset with an elegant white train that fell from the waistband.
She swept her hair into an elegant updo with a few tendrils framing her perfectly made-up face.

Kate was hosting the fundraiser for Operation Smile that provides free operations for children worldwide born with facial deformities thanks to a network of thousands of medical professionals in more than 80 countries who volunteer their time and talent.
This year the gala honoured Johnson & Johnson with the Corporate Humanitarian Award after the company raised over $1 million last fiscal year for Operation Smile.
Barbara Majeski and family received the Founders Circle Award for their continued support to change the lives of children worldwide.
