Elsewhere, Nick Grimshaw headed to Worthy Farm in a Mercedes Benz before enjoying a night of dancing with his fiancé Mesh Henry.

After a night of partying, the DJ admitted on Friday morning that he had resorted to brushing his teeth in a standalone sink in a field, ahead of Zoe Ball's Radio 2 Breakfast Show.

Model Mia Regan shared snaps of the quirky portaloos on offer during the festival as she arrived at her campsite on Thursday.

For more than 200,000 Glastonbury goers it's a frantic race to Somerset to find a square metre of space in the festival's crowded campsites and pitch up their tents for the weekend.

But for the rich and famous, the experience looks very different as they enjoy the swimming pools and spa at the five-star hotel Babbington House - 30 minutes from the Worthy Farm site.

The hideaway is a hot spot for A-listers with the likes of Holly Willoughby, Peter Crouch and Abbey Clancy and the Gallagher brothers staying there in previous years.

The famous faces use the chauffeur service to take them from the private members club to the centre of the festival.

Guests at the Grade II listed Georgian house can eat seafood or pizza at the various open-air restaurants found on a spacious freshly mown lawn.

Daybeds are available to watch performances at the festival live from a large screen so guests can 'channel the festival experience without the crowds'.

For £2,300 festival goers can secure one of the 50 bell tents erected on the 18-acre Somerset estate which are, 'fully equipped with comfy double beds, fluffy robes and a selection of drinks.'

But while there are staff on hand for guests' every need, the five-star hotel has a strict rule of no dogs or children allowed to stay which narrows the clientele down further.

Indoor and outdoor pools are to be used at leisure along with a Cowshed spa as the venue is part of the private members club Soho House chain.

The house itself boasts 33 bedrooms and 'garden-to-table dishes' in the Orangery.

Meanwhile, campers were left exhausted as they queued for more than two hours at London's Paddington Station due to cancelled trains after a person died on the tracks yesterday morning.

One festival-goer told the Mail: 'We haven't even got there yet and I'm already exhausted by the queues. It's like they're punishing us for wanting to have a good time.

'The gates to Glastonbury officially opened on Wednesday and within two hours all the major campsites were full, leaving people scrambling for the next best spaces half an hour from the main stages. '

This year's event will see headline performances from global stars including pop singer Dua Lipa, British rock band Coldplay and American soul singer Sza, while Canadian country star Shania Twain will play the coveted legends slot.

Other attractions at the festival, which runs until Sunday, include speeches, film screenings and Q&As, circus performances, comedy sets and more.

Rock band Squeeze will open the Pyramid Stage on Friday at midday, followed by rising star Olivia Dean, K-pop group Seventeen and singer Paul Heaton.

Later on, PJ Harvey and LCD Soundsystem will warm up for Dua Lipa as she headlines the main stage on Friday night - her Pyramid Stage debut.

The 28-year-old pop star is expected to treat festival revellers to a selection of her hit songs, including Houdini and Training Season from her third studio album, Radical Optimism, released earlier this year.

The main stage on the final day will open with a performance by Interlinked Ballet, with Seasick Steve and Paloma Faith set to take to the stage in the afternoon.

They will be followed by Twain, who is expected to play her hits including Man! I Feel Like A Woman!, You're Still The One and That Don't Impress Me Much.

The country star follows in the footsteps of artists such as Dolly Parton, Kylie Minogue and Diana Ross in the prestigious legends slot.

US singer and actress Janelle Monae and Nigerian singer Burna Boy will take over for the evening session before Sza closes out the Pyramid Stage with her hits including Saturn and Kill Bill.
