James Haskell parties with blonde companion at Glastonbury - after ex Chloe Madeley said their 'f***ing awful' split left her barely able to function

James Hakell was spotted partying with a mystery blonde at Glastonbury Festival on Thursday, after estranged wife Chloe Madeley branded their split 'f***ing awful'.

The former rugby player, 39, who shares 22-month-old daughter Bodhi with his ex, took a stroll with the leggy lady who flashed her pins in a sequinned mini skirt.

James' companion was dressed to impress at the iconic music event, completing her ensemble with a pair of fishnets and silver cowboy boots. 

Meanwhile the I'm A Celeb showcased his buff physique in a fitted T-shirt and shorts, while keeping a low profile beneath a baseball cap and shades.  

The pair chatted intently as they made their way across the field with James sipping from a plastic cup. 

MailOnline have contacted James and Chloe's reps for comment. 

James and Chloe announced their split in October 2023, after a decade together and five years of marriage.

She admitted last month that the pair broke up as they both wanted their relationship to 'stop being awful' and 'miserable'.

Telling OK! Magazine: 'I'm never going to go into great detail about why we broke up because it's not fair on anyone and I wouldn't want him to either, but what I will say is it was f***ing awful.

'Part of the reason we wanted to end it was because we wanted it to stop being awful, so why would we then take that into a break-up and it continue being awful. It was hard at the beginning. You have to work at it like everything in life and we've really done that.'

The daughter of TV stars Richard and Judy went onto admit she fell into situational depression following the split and she 'couldn't' even reply to friends messages as she wasn't able to do 'any self care' for herself. 

She added: 'I've actually never had depression before obviously it was very circumstantial so I didn't realise when people say "I can't" do something, you really just can't. Friends would say, "come over and have dinner", but I couldn't, I couldn't even reply to emails. Other than taking care of Bodhi I wasn't really doing any real self-care.'

The couple, who split nine months ago, still live together in their north London home but Chloe revealed the pair have now set a date in July for James to move out.

Chloe went onto reveal that she would love to meet a new partner in the future but has completely ruled out using 'dating apps'. 

She and James are now co-parenting peacefully and are getting on so well that they have been accused of secretly reuniting.

One fan asked a lovely family photo at the zoo: 'Thought you split up?'

Chloe shot back: 'Yea, but I'm of the opinion that we deserve family memories and family pictures as much as every other family does.'

James was spotted partying in Ibiza with a lookalike of his wife only weeks before announcing their marriage split. 

He was was pictured with Chloe McLennan throughout the summer whilst sharing a booth at Ibiza's Ocean Beach Club. 

According to a source for The Sun, Chloe, also known as DJ Loeca, shared some advice on the industry with James.

The source revealed that people knew James' career change took a toll on the relationship because he was often away from home, saying: 'James and Chloe got to know each other on the DJ circuit in Ibiza.

'It's no secret that James' new career choice took its toll on his relationship and caused arguments at home.

'He was away a lot, forging his new brand, while she was in the UK being a mum to their 13-month-old daughter.'

MailOnline has contacted a representative for James for comment at the time. 

The couple confirmed they had separated in a joint statement,  after rumours whiled following Chloe ditching her wedding ring when she was out with friends so the couple decided to share the news to avoid further speculation.

In a joint update shared to Instagram, they announced: 'Chloe and I mutually decided separate at the end of September, 2023.

'We had not planned on releasing a statement at this time - certainly not while the television show was airing - but constant speculation about our marriage has, unfortunately, forced our hand.'
