Cat Deeley was left feeling outraged on This Morning during a money-saving segment with Jordon Cox after she discovered there is a pink tax on products advertised to women.

This Morning's Coupon King Jordon appeared on the ITV programme on Wednesday to share his latest money-saving tips with Cat, 47, and her co-presenter Ben Shephard, 49.

While talking about the existence of a pink tax on razors, Cat was left 'fuming'.

The pink tax is not a tax in the literal sense. It refers to women paying more for the same, or similar, products and services than men.

During the show, Jordon let both of the presenters know that the pink tax wasn't always applied to products, however, he added that it 'still happens a little bit'.

He also revealed that if a woman bought a pack of razors she would be buying fewer razors than her male counterpart, despite paying more than him.

Female buyers also pay more for the fragrance and colour of a razor which left Cat sarcastically laughing.

Jordon then made the same distinction with shaving cream and Cat was no longer able to contain her dismay.

She raged: 'I'm fuming! I'm fuming with this pink tax,' before adding 'I am thoroughly irritated, definitely putting that one in the bag.'

The presenter then threw the tube of shaving cream she was holding in the bin before admitting she grew into the habit of buying 'little boy socks' to avoid the tax.

Cat looked stunning on the day wearing a printed mini dress from Sienna Miller's Marks and Spencer collaboration.

Ben was dressed in a grey/blue sweater which had a yellow trim on the sleeves.

In 2018, it was reported that the pink tax was still making it up to 35 per cent more expensive to be a woman, a new study has claimed.

Everyday items such as razors, deodorant and moisturiser come with a hefty premium when marketed at women compared to men.

Researchers at RIFT Tax Refunds looked at hundreds of toiletries and beauty products at major UK retailers and compared the prices of male and female products on offer.

They found that, on average, women shell out 6.28 per cent more on disposable razors, 8.9 per cent more on deodorant and a staggering 34.28 per cent more on facial moisturiser.

However, Boots  claimed the products compared in the study 'are not like for like'.
