The film follows a young woman named Zara (King) who works as an assistant for a movie star (Efron).

The assistant learns her actor boss has awkwardly become attracted to her mother Brooke Harwood (Kidman).

Also starring in A Family Affair are Liza Koshy, Kathy Bates and Shirley MacLaine.

Production on the project started in Atlanta in August 2022.

The movie reunites Kidman with Efron after they co-starred in the 2012 crime drama The Paperboy.

Efron recently spoke to People about sharing the screen with Kidman for the second time.

'Reuniting with Nicole is always so great and as talented as she is as an actress, she is equally kind, caring, and wonderful to spend time with,' he gushed.

The High School Musical star went on to describe their dynamic as 'seamless, natural and fun.'

And King told the outlet she was enthusiastic about working with the Academy Award-winning actress.

'It's truly one of those moments where you have to remind yourself that it's actually your life and you're getting to work with this person, and somehow they're even more wonderful than you could imagine,' she said.

She added, 'Neither of us [was] afraid of messing up, or embarrassing ourselves because we're just having fun finding out what works.'
