Emily Ratajkowski looks cheerful while flashing her toned midriff and long legs in denim skirt with thigh-high slit as she steps out for lunch in London

Emily Ratajkowski cut a cheerful figure on Wednesday, as she arrived at Italian restaurant River Café in London for lunch with a pal and her son Sylvester, three.

The model, 32, couldn't hide her smile as she soaked in the summer sunshine while chatting animatedly to her friend.

She looked typically stylish for the outing, wearing a cropped black jumper that left her flat stomach on full display.

Emily teamed it with a denim maxi skirt with a daringly high slit, flashing a glimpse of her toned legs underneath.

She added a pair of black strappy sandals and toted a dark red handbag for a pop of colour, while carrying Sylvester's coat.

The Gone Girl actress completed her trendy look with large gold hoop earrings and a matching chain necklace.

Flicking her glossy dark hair behind her, Emily beamed while hiding her eyes behind a pair of bright yellow sunglasses.

Her lunchtime outing comes after she put on a daring display at the Gurls Talk fundraising gala on Tuesday night.

Emily showed off her ample cleavage as she went braless in a plunging black silk dress over the top of red trousers.

It's been a busy week for the mother-of-one, as she arrived in London just a day after being spotted hard at work on the set of Too Much in New York on Monday.

Emily was seen sporting a shortened bob wig with a fringe, as she filmed scenes with Michael Zegen, 45, on a bench outside of a Brooklyn coffee shop.

Too Much is an upcoming ten-episode comedy TV series, written and directed by Lena Dunham.

It was first announced in February that Emily had been cast in a minor role for the show, opposite series leads Megan Stalter and Will Sharpe.

Too Much is a romantic comedy which follows Megan's character Jessica, a New York workaholic in her mid-thirties.

While healing from a devastating breakup, she decides to move to London with 'plans to live a life of solitude like a Bronte sister.'

There she meets Felix, played by Will, and discovers an unusual connection with him despite his many red flags, with the character being 'less Hugh Grant in Notting Hill and more Hugh Grant's drunken roommate.'

While he's not who Jessica expected to be attracted to, she still 'finds that their unusual connection is impossible to ignore, even as it creates more problems than it solves.'

The summary for the show states that the unlikely lovers 'now have to ask themselves: Do Americans and Brits actually speak the same language?'

Emily will reportedly be playing Felix's ex-girlfriend Polly, who is said to be the exact opposite of Jessica.

The series has been described as 'an ex-pat rom-com for the disillusioned who wonder if true love is still possible, but sincerely hope that it is.'

Lena is collaborating with the producers of romantic classic, Love Actually, while she is executive producing the series with her husband Luis Felber — who also created and produced new original music for the show.
