The highly anticipated Trailblazers documentary is now streaming on Stan.

Created by an all female production team, the flick details the incredible rise of Australia's national women's soccer team the Matildas. 

Trailblazers will take viewers on the sensational journey and successes of the Tillies since their first FIFA recognised game in 1979. 

It covers the team's astonishing strike for equal pay back in 2015 and their heartbreaking loss to Sweden at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

The sports documentary will also explore the moment the nation stood still to watch the Tillies claw their way through the FIFA Women's World Cup in 2023.

This triumphant story honours the early players who paved the way for future generations and the rockstar players who are household names today.

Matildas fans will be given a sneak peek behind the scenes with the flick following Sam Kerr & Co.

Tony Gustavsson's side sealed their place at this year's Paris Olympics in February after smashing Uzbekistan 13-0 on aggregate.

It capped off a remarkable 12 months which saw them reach the semi-final of the World Cup.

And now the Stan Original documentary Trailblazers will showcase the transformational journey of Australia's women's team.

Trailblazers will take viewers through the rise of the Matildas, and women's soccer in Australia more generally.

Kerr, Mary Fowler and Katrina Gorry, just a handful of the players who are now household names, will feature in the documentary.

Trailblazers is now streaming ahead of the Paris Olympics, following the Matildas' incredible 2-0 win against China in front of a sold-out Sydney crowd at the Accor Stadium on Monday.
