Britain's Got Talent winner is 'revealed' as hopeful enters the final as the firm favourite of the ITV1 show

Sydnie Christmas is holding firm as the bookies' favourite to win Britain's Got Talent.

The aspiring West End actress, 28, sailed through to Sunday's final after winning her semi-final heat with her rendition of Frank Sinatra's My Way that wowed judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli.

Now, Ladbrokes has made Amanda's Golden Buzzer act the overwhelming favourite at 2/5 to be crowned champion, with comedian Alex Mitchell next in the betting at 4/1 ahead of Abigail & Afronitaa (7/1).

Elsewhere, every other act is currently 12/1 or higher, while Northants Sings Out and Trixy head into tonight's final priced as the current rank outsiders at 66/1 apiece.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: 'We've seen some sensational acts along the way, but it all boils down to tonight's final, where the odds suggest it's going to take something pretty special to stop Sydnie Christmas from winning the series.'

Magician Jack Rhodes is next with odds of  12/1, opera singer Innocent Masuku stands at 16/1 and jump rope group  Haribow is at 33/1, along with impressionist Mike Woodhams.

At the lower end of the scale, is The Ssaulabi Performance Troupe with odds of 50/1 while choir Northants Sings Out  and magician Trixy are thought to be the least likely to win, with odds of 66/1.

The winner will receive a cash prize of £250,000 and will become the 17th champion of the show to play a spot at the Royal Variety Show. 

Speaking to The Mirror, Sydnie, revealed she will be going to into work as a gym receptionist  on Monday morning no matter the result as she needs the money. 

She joked: 'I've already had two weeks off – and I'm on a zero-hours contract. I have rent to pay!'

Sydnie, who grew up Kent  playing rugby, has always dreamed of being a West End star and she hopes BGT is the beginning of that journey for her.

'In a year's time, I hope I'm living my dream. I want to be doing what I love for a living instead of rolling towels and making shakes!'

Revealing just how nervous she was she admitted: 'My voice coach had to walk me on to the stage because I was so nervous. I'm very happy it didn't look that way because I was terrified.'

After her performance, all four judges were quickly up on their feet to applaud Sydnie.

Amanda said: 'I have to sit down, I thought I was going to pass out during that. Honestly, Sydnie when we saw your audition I had so many people come up and stop me.

'And tonight you have done even better, I just cannot believe your capacity and your fire and your strength.'
