The Connecticut-born entertainer has been since discharged from the hospital, and is doing a six-week-long stay in rehab.

There was no police report filed over the incident, with Bill reportedly only focused on his recovery.

Following the hit-and-run, the actor — who also starred in 2007's Halloween — remained in strong spirits, even cracking a horror-related joke as he took to Instagram to post about the ordeal from the hospital.

'Got hit from behind by a dude on a racing bike, knocked us both a** over kettle. He got up and rode off; I didn't. 4 ribs fractured and fractures to my pelvis. And here I thought Jason packed a punch!'

He also added, 'Gettin' there. Thanks for the well wishes, and thanks, @carolinafearfest, for your support. I'm out of commission for a few weeks - those darn ribs & pelvis - but I’ll be back on my feet soon enough. Dog will hunt!'

The actor appeared touched by well wishes from his followers, later commenting, 'You guys all mean so much to me.'

Bill also shared another snap of himself in a wheelchair with his wife Lucinda Jenney, 70, where he thanked her and the hospital for taking care of him.

'Out of the hospital, yippee! I want to thank @wakemedhospitals for excellent care and my wife for springing me!!! Now to arrange that long flight home.'

Carolina Fear Fest also announced he wouldn't be able to make it to the event.

'We are sorry to announce that Bill Moseley is unable to appear at the show, having sustained injuries after being struck by a bicyclist during an afternoon walk. He arrived in Raleigh and was very excited to attend, as we were excited to have him,' read a post on their Instagram.
