Inside Lewis Capaldi's new life in London as he settles into £3million pad and reveals he hopes to start local football team

It seems Lewis Capaldi is already making a name for himself with the locals after settling into his new London mansion.

The hitmaker was brought up in a small village in Scotland, however after topping the charts and making a fortune he recently splashed out and moved into a £3 million property in Hampstead.

Living alongside neighbours including Harry Styles and This Morning's new presenter Cat Deeley and her husband, Patrick Kielty, Lewis has also been getting to know the residents and even wants to get involved in the local football scene.

A source told The Sun: 'Lewis has found a home for life here and everyone loves him. He is a regular in a few of the local pubs and has got great banter with the locals.

'Lewis is a big football fan and has said he'd be keen to get involved if the chance came up. He's got a load of famous mates like Harry Styles, in the area, and Liam Gallagher and Patrick Kielty live nearby too, so he could band together a whole team to take on the locals.

'He seems really happy and is in such a great place. Everyone who sees Lewis is so pleased to see how well he's doing.'

Lewis moved into his new place in March and has been seen on walks out and about the local area with his girlfriend Ellie MacDowall.

A source close to Lewis told The Mail's Emily Prescott: 'He and Harry are both British superstars who surely will at some point go to war in the charts with their music, yet they live on one another's doorsteps. You can only imagine what the conversation is when they bump into one another.

'Lewis is super-friendly to all of the neighbours and is really enjoying living in the area. It is really quite different to where he grew up. It's such a beautiful area and not cheap – it just shows you how much money he has made in a relatively short time.'

Lewis was born in Glasgow but moved to East Whitburn in West Lothian with his family when he was four.

Last month Lewis was seen looking healthy and happy as he went shopping in Tesco alongside a male friend.

It comes after last month Lewis attended his first event in seven months as he enjoyed a beer at the Gucci Grammys afterparty in LA.

It was the first time in seven months that Lewis has attended an industry event, the last being the penultimate day of the Wimbledon Tennis Championships in July 2023.

Lewis recently delighted fans by releasing five new songs for the New Year, despite his career break to focus on his anxiety and battle with Tourette's syndrome.

The singer returned to social media for the first time in six months to announce that he was releasing an extended edition of his second album Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent.

The tracks are called Strangers, A Cure For Minds Unwell, Someone I Could Die For, The Ancient Art Of Always F***ing Up and Old Navy Blue.

Lewis announced he would be taking a break away from the spotlight for his mental health after performing at Glastonbury in June 2023.

Lewis explained: 'After some back-and-forth about whether it was the right thing to do, I've decided it would be a shame for these extra five songs, which are so incredibly special to me, to sit on my hard drive, never to see the light of day.'

The album originally hit number one in the UK charts after its May 2023 release, staying there for two consecutive weeks.
