Perth radio personality Kymba Cahill recalled her own stalker ordeal on Monday.
The Mix94.5's Pete & Kymba for Breakfast host was discussing the new Netflix series 'Baby Reindeer', based on a comedian's experience with a stalker, when she opened up about her own encounter with a stalker.
'I don't know who the person was, and they kept coming into the reception area asking to see me or pretending they had a meeting booked to see me and that they had a time booked,' she revealed.
'He'd come back multiple times and it got to the point where they would call me and say 'don't come to work yet because he's here and he won't leave, because he's waiting for you'.'
It wasn't long before security stepped in to escort Cahill to and from work.
'Management arranged for security to follow me from home each day and drive me home every day, so that this person wasn't around.'
'We had the police involved; we had all the CCTV footage so I could see if I could recognise him,' she added.
Cahill revealed that after two months, the stalker eventually disappeared.
It comes just weeks after Kate Ritchie's stalker nightmare came to light earlier this month.
It was revealed she made a phone call to NSW Police after receiving a message from Gerard Ryan, 71, which said he was in the suburb where she lives and hoped to find her.
He had sent her 'hundreds' of messages from February 2022 through to April 2023, including 'numerous naked photographs of the accused and numerous videos of the accused masturbating', police facts, seen by the Daily Telegraph, claimed.
Ryan was arrested at a park in Sydney's eastern suburbs last month and charged with stalking charge, tow which he pleaded guilty.
He was also hit with an apprehended violence order banning him from approaching Ritchie.
Ryan was sentenced to a 12-month Conditional Release Order and an AVO states he must not go within 500m of Ritchie's home or workplace.
The police facts also indicated Ryan had said he wanted to marry Ritchie and referenced her daughter, saying he would make 'a good stepfather'.
In February, he sent a letter to her work address which included a Valentine's Day card.
Ryan was sentenced to a 12-month Conditional Release Order and an AVO states he must not go within 500m of Ritchie's home or workplace.
