Nova star Tim Blackwell's wife Monique appears strained as she's seen for the first time since the couple confirmed marriage split

Monique Blackwell has been seen for the first time following her split with her radio star husband Tim Blackwell.

Leaving her Inner West Sydney home, Monique appeared a little strained as she climbed into her car. 

She went makeup free to run her errands and wore a loose bohemian sundress and Grecian sandals.

She appeared to have a lot of her mind and seemed distracted as she left her home while carrying her phone in her hand.

Monique posted to Instagram on Sunday to announce the sad news that her marriage was over after 14 years. 

'Not all good things end, but this has,' she wrote alongside images of herself and Tim, 42, in happier times.

'Thank you in advance for your messages of love, support and sadness at the news that Tim & I are no longer together,' she added. 

'Our babes are forever supported by Tim's and my love for them.' 

The entrepreneur and yoga instructor concluded, 'And our friendship together is a source of strength for our family always, as we raise our children as best friends.' 

The couple share three children, Bo, 10, Alfie, seven, and Artie, four. 

They met during the biggest day in Tim's career.

Speaking to The Daily Telegraph's Stellar magazine in 2018, the radio personality revealed that the pair met in 2002 after he moved to the city to launch Nova 93.7's local drive show.

'It's the cheesiest radio-nerd story ever — one of the biggest days for my career and certainly the biggest day of my love life,' he said.

'I had all the big bosses in town, all the news media there. I was shaking and absolutely sh***ing myself but also exhilarated at the same time.  

'Once all that was over, we went downstairs and had this huge launch party and Monique was a part of the promotions team at the time there. She came over and I got the courage to say, "I'm new to Perth and I'd love to take you out to coffee or something".'
