Kim Zolciak speaks! Ex-RHOA star tells fans why she's selling her personal belongings amid costly divorce from Kroy Biermann and hints at career plan
Kim Zolciak is trying to clear up why she has been selling off her pricy luxury goods in recent months.
The 45-year-old former Real Housewives Of Atlanta star answered questions from fans on her Instagram Stories on Thursday.
One fan wasn't worried about offending her and bluntly asked, 'Do you not have money and have to sell your clothes/shoes?'
While Kim didn't speak about the state of her finances, she indicated that she was just trying to clear out her closet, even as she and her estranged husband Kroy Biermann put their Atlanta-area home on the market for $6 million last month in an attempt to significantly decrease their debt.
The reality star most recently put some of her designer clothing and accessories for sale on Monday, including a Chanel handbag she was selling for $7,500.

On Thursday, Kim signaled she was game to answer questions from fans by writing, 'I have 10 minute let's gooooo [sic].'
But when a fan asked if she was hurting for money, she responded, 'I have a ton of stuff I bought over the years so selling what I don't want. That's all ❤️,' she wrote.
The answer seemingly denied claims that she was in dire financial straits, despite court filings from her estranged husband claiming the opposite.
Despite her desire to cut down on pricy unused possessions, Kim also sounded as if she was about to load up on many more items when another fan asked what was on her children's 'Christmas lists this year.'
'The real questions is what isn't,' Kim joked in her reply.
Another person asked the blond beauty what she had in mind for the future, and she suggested a surprising change of careers.
In her response, she didn't include text but posted a blown-up emoji of a film camera, which may have indicated that she was considering transitioning into film acting.
However, the image might also indicate that Kim is simply hoping to get back into show business after leaving the Real Housewives Of Atlanta and having her spinoff series Don't Be Tardy canceled.

Back in September, she revealed her upcoming return to reality television, though she won't be returning to her previous home network Bravo at this time.
Instead, Kim's fans will be able to catch her on MTV when she joins the cast of the upcoming eighth season of The Surreal Life.
Most of the reality star's other Insta Stories responses were just to compliments from her followers, but one person inquired about how she was doing with 'all the noise' surrounding her ongoing divorce from Kroy.
'What noise,' she wrote with a tears of laughter emoji. 'honestly I do[n't] read anything online and haven't for years.'
Kim's latest selling spree on Monday included several expensive items, including a lovely white Prada handbag she was selling for $3,500.
However, the most expensive item from that batch, and one of the most expensive she has sold to date, was a Chanel Large Boy bag with a black snake print and a silver chain strap, which she was advertising for $7,500.
She also was selling several other Chanel bags, as well as multiple Louis Vuitton and Balenciaga designs.
Kim had previously tried to sell off some of her husband Kroy's possessions, including his designer shoes.
The couple's living situation has become particularly intense since their split. Although the two have put their home on the market, they are still living together under its roof.
However, a judge overseeing their divorce ruled last month that Kim must relocate to the home's finished basement for her living quarters, while Kroy is allowed to stay in the former couple's bedroom.
However, the two are both free to roam the home's common areas, including the kitchen and living room.
Financial challenges have continued to mount for the two. As they wait to see if their pricy home will sell, they have been ordered by a judge to pay $230,000 from a lawsuit over unpaid credit card bills, and Kroy has also been order to turn over his Rolls-Royce after he stopped making the $5,000 monthly payments for over a year.
Despite the tension between the couple and their apparent lack of resources, they reunited on their anniversary for a lavish dinner pasta and seafood dinner last week.
