Billy Ray Cyrus, 62, tells GMA he and  fiancée Firerose, 34, are 'like peanut butter and jelly'... after ex-wife Tish Cyrus weds Dominic Purcell

Billy Ray Cyrus and fiancée Firerose have been doing better than ever this year as they release a new album called Plans.

And on Thursday the country singers spoke with Good Morning America about how happy they are as they performed their new single on stage.

'It has been a beautiful whirlwind,' 34-year-old Australian artist Firerose shared.

'I'm just so grateful that I get to live my dreams every day with the love of my life.'

'We're kind of like peanut butter and jelly,' the 62-year-old Billy Ray - who is the father of Miley Cyrus - shared. 

'I'm a left-handed, singer-songwriter from Flatwoods, Kentucky, and she's a trained orchestral musician,' he added.

The singers performed Plans, which is written by Oscar-winning songwriter Diane Warren.

'Diane actually DM’d me and said, "Would you like to do a song?" And I’m like, "Ah! Yeah! I would love nothing more,"' Firerose recalled.

'I mean, she was a tremendous inspiration to me to follow my songwriting and so it was a dream come true. When she sent Plans it was meant to be.'

Firerose wore a beaded cherry red pantsuit that was plunging in front showing off her chest. She looked elegant in platform heels and her white blonde hair was worn down as she added long earrings.

Billy Ray wore a black blazer with rolled up sleeves and black slacks. He had on a cream-colored straw hat over braided hair. 

This comes just weeks after his ex-wife Tish Cyrus married Prison Break TV star Dominic Purcell in Southern California.

Billy Ray and Firerose's musical relationship first began in July 2021 when they released a song together. 

Just recently, they teamed up again for the new song Plans.  

Billy Ray - who is best known for his huge hit song Achy Breaky Heart - and Firerose first met on set of Miley's Disney series Hannah Montana over 12 years ago.

A few years ago they started dating and in August 2022, the couple got engaged. It was only four months after his ex-wife Tish Cyrus filed for divorce in April 2022.

Billy Ray and Firerose's engagement was not announced until November 2022. 

Tish and Billy Ray had not been living together since 2020.

Tish has five children: one of them is Flowers hitmaker Miley Cyrus who used to be wed to Liam Hemsworth.

She also used to date Nick Jonas.

Her latest hit song is Used To Be Young, which Adele has complimented recently. 

The other kids are Brandi Cyrus, Braison Cyrus, Noah Cyrus, Christopher Cody, Brandon Cyrus.

Billy Ray and Tish have five together; the latter is also a stepmother to the singer's eldest son Christopher. Before her marriage to Billy Ray, Tish mothered two kids: Brandi and Trace. 

As children, both were adopted by Billy Ray and officially became members of the Cyrus clan.

In August 2023, his ex wife Tish, 56, married Purcell. Miley was in attendance.

Purcell - born Dominic Haakon Myrtvedt Purcell - is a British born-Australian actor. 

He is best known for his portrayals of Lincoln Burrows in Fox's Prison Break, Mick Rory / Heat Wave in The CW's The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow, as well as Drake / Dracula in Blade: Trinity.

He was wed to Rebecca Williamson rom 1998 until 2008. 

They share four children together- Joseph, 24, Audrey, 22 and twins Lily-Rose and Augustus, 20. 

Williamson is known for the movies Balibo (2009), Praise (1998) and Barry and Garry (1997).

Dominic used to date Brooke Burns from Baywatch and AnnaLynne McCord from 90210.
