Margot Robbie offered nearly $500,000 for photos of her feet - after netting over $77million for blockbuster Barbie role

Margot Robbie has been offered £250,000 (AUD$492,000) to sell photos of her feet.

The 33-year-old Barbie actress has been offered the eye-watering sum of money to share photos of her feet by Fun With Feet, a platform where people can buy and sell their feet pictures.

In a letter to the Dalby, Queensland-born star, a representative of the platform wrote: 'Dear Margot, My name is Liz and I make thousands selling feet pics on Fun With Feet.'

'I would love to collaborate with you on some Barbie-inspired content that'll earn us both millions. Plus, Fun with Feet are offering to pay you £250K as a starting bonus. If I'm right, we'll be able to capitalise on our likeness - and the world's obsession with all-things Barbie - to no end, all thanks to our feet!

Liz has also extended the offer to Ryan Gosling, who stars alongside Margot in the Barbie movie.

The offer comes after it was revealed Robbie is set to make $50million (AUD$77million) in salary and bonuses from the mega-hit film - after the movie flew past over $1billion in worldwide box office gross.

Robbie, 33, whose turn in the film has garnered acclaim, will take home the whopping paycheck in salary and box office bonus, having also produced the film through her production company, LuckyChap Entertainment, reports Variety, citing three individuals with knowledge of her deal. 

LuckyChap - which Robbie founded in 2014 with husband Tom Ackerley, and friends Josey McNamara and Sophia Kerr - has also produced Promising Young Woman, Birds of Prey and series Maid.

Director Greta Gerwig is also likely to receive bonuses due to the incredible success of Barbie, which has reached $1.18 billion globally.

Barbie and Gerwig made history last weekend, flying past over $1billion in worldwide box office gross, becoming the first movie directed solely by a woman to do so.

The film, based off the beloved Mattel character and co-written by Gerwig with husband Noah Baumbach, added another $127 million internationally, bringing its global total to $1.03 billion. 

It had already passed second place on the list after a record-breaking first few weeks in cinemas, the Patty Jenkins-directed 2017 Wonder Woman, which grossed $821.8 million globally. 

A total of 53 films in the history of the medium have hit the billion-dollar category, with studio representatives coining the phrase 'Barbillion' for the latest addition to the list.

While both Frozen films and Captain Marvel were co-directed by a woman with a man, Barbie becomes the highest grossing film directed solely by a woman. 

It crossed $400 million domestic and $500 million internationally faster than any other movie at the studio, including the Harry Potter films.

'As distribution chiefs, we're not often rendered speechless by a film's performance, but Barbillion has blown even our most optimistic predictions out of the water,' said Jeff Goldstein and Andrew Cripps, who oversee domestic and international distribution for the studio, in a joint statement.

'Barbie' is now the biggest to be directed by one woman, supplanting 'Wonder Woman´s' $821.8 million global total. Three movies that were co-directed by women are still ahead of 'Barbie,' including 'Frozen' ($1.3 billion) and 'Frozen 2' ($1.45 billion) both co-directed by Jennifer Lee and 'Captain Marvel' ($1.1 billion), co-directed by Anna Boden. 

But, 'Barbie' has passed 'Captain Marvel' domestically with $459.4 million (versus $426.8 million), thereby claiming the North American record for live-action movies directed by women.
