Lewis Capaldi couldn't help but smile as he posed alongside a statue of him on Sunday.

The singer, 26, was presented with the artwork by students at his former school to mark the release of his latest album.

And visiting the coveted piece, Lewis struggled to contain his reaction, offering a variety of facial expressions. 

In one snap, the Forget Me singer could be seen staring at the sculpture, seemingly bemused. 

The star cut a typically casual figure for the outing, in a white t-shirt and jeans.

He paired the look with navy blue trainers.

The bronze statue boasted bulging eyes and remarkably slim fingers as it sat with its arms crossed. 

Pupils and teachers spent six months creating their tribute at St Kentigern’s Academy in West Lothian, Glasgow.

It comes after Lewis seemed in high spirits as he tucked into a packet of crisps after performing at the British Academy Television Awards last week.  

The singer enjoyed a bag of cheese and onion as he climbed into his car departing the London's Royal Festival Hall. 

He cut a casual figure in a crisp white T-shirt and black trousers as he snacked following taking to the stage during the star studded evening. 

Lewis was all smiles as he held up his thumb to the camera while grabbing a bottle of water from the vehicle. 

During the awards ceremony, the musician took to the stage to perform his hit single Wish You The Best.

It comes after Lewis showed off his new disguise earlier this month as he grew a moustache and posed for a series of snaps on Instagram.

The hitmaker revealed it took him 'six weeks' to grow the facial hair and to make it visible he 'had to colour it in with mascara'. 

The singer joked he had to grow the moustache as 'a disguise for his own safety' after making several kids cry with his latest music video. 

Lewis looked casual in the photos as he posed in a black Nike sweatshirt and pushed his long locks back out of his face. 

The musician pulled a number of funny faces before wearing a black baseball cap and chunky dark sunglasses.  

He wrote: 'Have made too many children cry with my new music video for Wish You The Best. 

'So I’ve decided it’s time to assume a disguise for my own safety. It took me SIX WEEKS to grow this moustache and I had to colour it in with mascara so it was actually visible… I’m 26 years old'. 

Meanwhile, the star recently shared his hilarious reaction as children burst into tears at his emotional new music video for Wish You The Best.

The singer recently released the visual to accompany his latest single, in which Harry Potter actor David Bradley, 81, plays an elderly postman who passes away, leaving his beloved dog heartbroken.

After scenes of mourning at his graveside, the pooch is welcomed in by a younger postman - until she passes away too and is reunited with her former owner.

But some young children have been left bawling at the emotionally-charged masterpiece in TikTok videos.

Responding to the clips on his own profile, Lewis struck a series of shock reactions as he observed their reactions.

He quipped in his caption, 'I am now making children cry.'

But soon added: 'I feel like my latest music video is emotionally scarring these children and I don't know how to feel cause on one hand it's sad but also at least the song is getting out there.'
