Australian chef Darren Robertson shares his recipe for super easy hot cross buns that 'everyone' can make: 'Not as difficult as people may expect'
Aussie chef Darren Robertson has made Easter a little cheaper for everyone this year as he shared a super simple hot cross buns recipe.
The Three Blue Ducks co-owner said the biggest mistake lovers of the sweet treat make is not attempting to bake them at home.
He said the raisin filled buns are best eaten 'fresh and warm out of the oven with a sticky glaze and fresh butter', reported 9Honey on Friday.
'Hot cross buns are so delicious, I want everyone to have that lovely experience,' the Tasting Australia Co-Festival Director said.
He added that baking the spiced bread could be a fun, easy activity for parents to do with their children over the long weekend.

'I think most people think they are going to be more complicated or harder to make than they are – they really aren't,' he said.
'The recipe I've put together will work for everyone and is not as difficult as people may expect.'
The Byron Bay chef went on to say people who want to give the recipe a try could easily mix things up to suit different tastes.

He said: 'This recipe can also be varied by adding chocolate chips, sultanas, macadamia nuts, peanuts, even chocolate spread.'
The former My Kitchen Rules judge is married to meteorologist Magdalena Roze.
They share two sons, Archie and Charlie, who he's previously said have forced him to 'go back to basics' when it comes to cooking.
'Before kids, I'd always had this impression that things had to be really fancy and needed all sorts of garnishes. Now, we have the barbecue on every other night, and I love whipping up one pot wonders,' he told Daily Mail Australia.
