New romance! Wendy Williams, 58, in 'really early stages' of dating NYPD officer named Henry says her rep after shooting down claims the two secretly wed

Wendy Williams has a new love in her life though, despite earlier claims, she did not secretly get married.

On Wednesday, the 58-year-old former talk show host's representative William Selby confirmed to People magazine that she is dating a New York City Police Department officer named Henry but said their romance is in the 'really, really early stages.'

'She wants to take things slow and really put her focus into launching the podcast,' Selby told the outlet.

He continued, 'Wendy is in a sweet spot in her life where she can stop, breathe and smell the roses. Everyone knows Wendy has been a workhorse her entire life, and she is just looking to get back on the horse.'

'Wendy is excited about everything new in her life and her main priority is her health and shooting her first episode of her podcast,' Selby added.

 'That's the focus right now.'

Earlier on Wednesday, Selby clarified to Page Six that Wendy was in a new relationship but had not secretly tied the knot with her new beau.

The outlet previously reported that Wendy told Hollywood Unlocked founder Jason Lee that she had married an NYPD officer named Henry.

However, Selby told Page Six, 'That's inaccurate.'

He went on to explain, 'She is excited about a new relationship and probably got carried away in conversation.'

At the time, Selby did not confirm to Page Six if the television personality's new love interest was a cop, saying, 'Wendy doesn't wish to disclose details at the moment.'

During the Tuesday episode of his podcast Gagging With Jason Lee, Jason said that he had received a call from Wendy who informed him that she was coming to Los Angeles on Friday.

'And she says, "I’m married.",' he recounted.

'I’m like, "What?" She’s like, "I got married."

The podcast host continued, 'I’m like, "You got married when?" And she’s like, "I got married last week."'

Jason said, 'I'm like, no you did not. And she said, "Yes, I did."'

When he asked about the identity of her mystery man, Jason said that Wendy told him that she had married 'a guy named Henry' who is 'a cop in New York.'

The former radio DJ was previously married to Bertrand 'Bert' Girigorie from 1994 to 1995.

Surprisingly, Williams doubled-down on her marriage claims, despite her rep claiming she has not tied the knot.

Williams told Hollywood Unlocked CEO Jason Lee that she's married, stating, 'Everyone seems to have a problem with that - I'm married; I'm married, I don't care who knows it, I'm married.'

When asked about her rep Will Selby and his statements that she hasn't wed, Williams added, 'Will sees no point in me getting married, but you know what, f*** Will - 14 years I've known him, and I've always said f*** him, in a good way.'

While Wendy headlined the program from 2008 until earlier this year, she did not appear in the final episode of the show.

Instead of Williams, guest host Sherri Shepherd hosted it. She had stepped in back in February to take over for Williams while she dealt with a number of chronic illnesses.

In June, TMZ reported that Williams had almost completely lost feeling in her feet due to lymphedema, a disease caused by a blockage in the lymphatic system.

She's also dealing with Graves’ disease, an immune disorder caused by an overproduction of thyroid hormones.

The disorder caused her to faint on-air back in 2017.

In July, Wendy told the New York Post, 'There was nothing I liked about the [final episode of] Wendy Williams Show.'

When asked why she didn't host the final episode of the series, she responded by telling the outlet that the production company Debmar-Mercury didn't asked her to.

'Debmar-Mercury, in my opinion, should have done it with [me], not these other people on The Wendy Williams Show,' the star said. 'Except for Fat Joe.'

Fat Joe is a rapper who filled in on the show a number of times for Williams over the years.

Williams also talked her plans to host her new podcast titled The Wendy Experience.

'If you’re extremely famous like I am, [hosting a podcast] will make more money than being on The Wendy Williams Show,' she said.

She continued, 'What I want to do is podcast, and I want to have a restaurant.'

At the time, the Think Like a Man star also said she was looking to get lucky in her personal life.

'If I don’t do anything else, including podcast, I would love to fall in love. I want to f**k,' she joked. 'Excuse me, I’m gorgeous. Can I f**k?'

Back in May, Wendy was assigned a financial guardian in order to gain 'access to her millions.'

Wendy previously said: 'Wells Fargo has no questions and answers regarding my money. This is not fair. And Lori Schiller and Wells Fargo has this guardianship petition about keeping me away from my money. This is not right and this is not fair.'
