The Wendy Williams Show guest hosts are named for March after host's show ends during her health battle
A set of guest hosts for The Wendy Williams Show was named on Tuesday after the show was ended last month amid Williams' ongoing health battle.
The show said that Kym Whitley and Finesse Mitchell will host the week of March 7 through March 11; Fat Joe and Remy Ma will host from March 14 through March 18; and Carson Kressley and Vivica A. Fox will host from March 28 through April 1.
Sherri Shepherd, who is set to launch her daytime show Sherri this fall in Williams' former time slot, is set to host the week of March 21 through March 25. The show will be syndicated on Fox Television Stations and the network's O&O time slots, Deadline reported.
The latest: A set of guest hosts for The Wendy Williams Show were named on Tuesday after the show was ended last month amid Williams' ongoing health battle. Williams, 57, was pictured in 2020 appearing on Watch What Happens Live
Amid Williams' absence, Shepherd and Michael Rapaport have been the lead guests hosts, but Rapaport is busy with projects including the Amy Schumer Hulu series Life & Beth; and the Hulu show Only Murders in the Building with Steve Martin, Martin Short and Selena Gomez.
Williams has not hosted the show this year as she battles health issues linked to her battle with Graves' disease.
Williams' rep Howard Bragman said last month that the veteran host, 57, was in accord with the decisions made that brought her show to an end.
'She, more than anyone, understands the reality of syndicated television - you can't go to the marketplace and sell a show that's the Maybe Wendy Show,' Bragman said.

He continued: 'She understands why this decision was made from a business point of view, and she has been assured by Debmar-Mercury that should her health get to a point where she can host again and should her desire be that she hosts again that she would be back on TV at that time.'
Bragman added, 'It's been a challenging time for Wendy as she deals with her health issues. She is incredibly grateful to Debmar-Mercury, to Sherri and everybody else who has supported the show through this time.'
Williams on February 22 subsequently posted text on Instagram Stories that read, 'Mr. Bragman: Although I appreciate your concerns and respect you immensely, I have not authorized you to make any statements on my behalf regarding my current status with Debmar-Mercury. Again, thanks for your continuing concern and support.'

Shepherd acknowledged Williams' past work in announcing that she was taking over the time slot last week, saying that 'no one can replace the queen.'
Shepherd said while hosting the show, 'In September, I am debuting my own talk show, Sherri! I am so excited because when I started in this business I have always wanted to do a talk show, even before I joined The View in 2007.
'We are going to have a lot of fun, we're gonna have a lot of laughs, we're gonna have a lot of joy.'
