The city of Boston prepared the Duck Boats as fans lined the streets to celebrate yet another championship for their Celtics.

With Banner No. 18 safely secured after beating the Dallas Mavericks, the Boston Celtics showed the love for their fans as they celebrated the title.

As players and celebrities filled up the Ducks, the streets filled with people on Friday morning.

Among the celebrities included Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy, who led the crowd in chants of F*** Kyrie - an ode to the Dallas Mavericks star who famously baited-and-switched on his promise to stay in Boston before going to Brooklyn in 2019.

Even now, with Irving being beaten by Boston on the NBA's biggest stage, the fans can't seem to get over their hatred for their former star man.

But the players themselves dressed themselves up in special shirts and attire for the occasion.

The injured Kristaps Porzingis, who played few minutes in the NBA Finals due to a bizarre and rare injury, wore chains and a WWE championship belt.

Jaylen Brown, the Finals MVP, wore a shirt that said 'State your source' - a callout to Stephen A. Smith, who once shared an anonymous source's claim that Brown had a bad attitude.

Coach Joe Mazzulla, who won the title in his first NBA head coaching gig, wore a t-shirt with Bill Russell on it.

Boston overcame the Mavericks to put an end to a title-drought of only five years - which, surprisingly, is the second-longest in the city's history.

Sports fans in Beantown had been waiting on a title since the Patriots captured Super Bowl LIII back in 2019.

Now, they have cause for celebration after the Celtics knocked off Dallas for the team's first NBA title since 2008.

It's also their 18th title as a team - the most of any franchise in the history of the NBA.

After finishing the season as the best team in the NBA, they stood atop the Eastern Conference having beaten the Miami Heat, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Indiana Pacers.

When the Celtics beat the Mavericks convincingly in their first three games, many thought that a sweep would be inbound.

However, the Mavericks put up a strong effort in Game 4 that became the third biggest victory in NBA Finals history at 38 points.

But Boston decided to end the series at home on the 16th anniversary of their last championship - in front of their home fans at TD Garden.

Even days after their victory, the Celtics are favored to win the title again next year - opening at +310 - with the next closest team, the Denver Nuggets, behind them at +750.
