Hilarious moment MLB fan tries to show off MASSIVE $33 hot dog in the bleachers... only to drop it on the unsuspecting man in front of her!

There's an early front runner for the costliest error of the 2024 Major League Baseball season.

A Texas-based Instagram foodie named Mira Ruby recorded herself showing off the Rangers' $33 hot dog, known as the 'Boomstick.'

But under the weight of the two-foot frankfurter topped with beef patties, nacho cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles, tortilla chips, chili, and jalapenos, the Boomstick's cardboard carrying case buckled.

What followed can only be described as a complete mess.

Not only did the $33 dog fall to the ground in the Globe Life Field bleachers, but it first hit an innocent spectator's shoulder during the descent.

'FIRST TIMER @RANGERS GAME @GLOBELIFEFIELD & I FAILED BUT THEY WON,' Ruby wrote on Instagram after Texas' 5-3 victory over the visiting New York Mets on Thursday.

'The boomstick is a must but don't drop it in 2nd row at the game in front of everyone while trying to get content,' she wrote.

'That would not be worth it for a $33 hot dog smothered in chili that's 2ft long that you couldn't even try and then had to buy another one.'

It's unclear if Ruby also bought her unassuming victim a new shirt.

Her clip didn't include his reaction to the incident, although his left shoulder is seen covered with nacho cheese and other Boomstick toppings.

The hot dog takes its name from baseball slang. A 'boomstick' is often a playful reference to one's bat, although the term is also used to describe a shotgun in the 1992 cult classic, Army of Darkness.
