Hilarious moment Reds staffer is swept up by infamous 'Tarp Monster' in Cincinnati - before having to crawl out during rain delay

The infamous Cincinnati tarp monster claimed another victim when the Reds took on the Dodgers at Great American Ballpark in rainy conditions Sunday.
During a weather delay, the grounds crew brought out a huge, white tarp to protect the field from incoming rain.
As the staffers bolted across the field, dragging the large tarp behind them, one woman fell over and was promptly swallowed up by the massive creature.
'Mayday - they're not stopping,' the Reds announcer said, as the crew continued to pull the tarp towards the third-base line, completely enveloping their coworker.
'Good news, bad news,' he went on. 'Good news, the Reds are up four. Bad news, Tarp Monster did get one member of the grounds crew.'

The announcer noted that the woman trapped underneath was 'trying to army crawl to freedom.'
'That's one of the bigger cheers of the day,' they said, as she emerged from the tarp.
Social media users found the moment equally hilarious and harrowing.
'I can't breathe watching this,' one person wrote in response to the MLB's post on X.
'That can be some scary stuff under there honestly,' another chimed in.
A third wrote, 'That's amazing, hilarious, and also terrifying.'

It was far from the first time the tarp monster has swallowed up a member of the Reds grounds crew.
Last summer, one man slipped while unfurling the tarp as the Ohio team took on the San Francisco Giants.
'Every man left behind, fend for yourself,' the announcer said at the time.
The Reds were up 4-0 before the rain delay in the top of the sixth inning Sunday.
They completed a three-game sweep against Los Angeles with a 4-1 victory, as Jonathan India and Nick Martini each drove in two runs in the win.
'It shows what we're capable of doing when we play well,' Reds manager David Bell told reporters.
'We know that about ourselves. We believe that we absolutely have to go out and show it. It's nice to see for our team and our players, just fighting to shift the energy around.'
