Didier Deschamps has hit back at claims that his France side are 'dull'.

France have reached the semi-finals of Euro 2024, where they will take on Spain, but have only scored three goals at the tournament so far, with two of those being own goals.

Deschamps is able to call upon some hugely talented players, including Kylian Mbappe, who has found the net just once at the tournament so far with a penalty against Poland.

The France boss jumped to the defence of his team and insisted that many teams have found it difficult to score at this tournament.

When a Swedish journalist stated that his side are dull, Deschamps joked that the journalist is 'French really, disguised as Swedish.

Deschamps added that those who find France boring to watch 'should watch another game.'

As reported by The Guardian, Deschamps said: 'If you're getting bored, watch another game. You don't have to watch – it's fine. It's a special Euros. It's very difficult for everyone, with fewer goals.

'It hasn't been the same as in the past, but we share the desire to make French men and women happy through the results we have been getting, especially in a period that has been hard for our country. But if the Swedish are getting bored, it doesn't bother me much.'

Getting the better of a high quality Spain side will certainly be a difficult task, but if France are at their best then they are capable of causing problems for their opponents.

France finished in second place in Group D having taken five points from their three games.

They subsequently beat Belgium 1-0 courtesy of a late own goal from Jan Vertonghen and then overcame Portugal on penalties after the game ended goalless.
