Gareth Southgate is continuing to fight his side's corner at Euro 2024 as they come under pressure for their performances at the tournament.

The Three Lions will take on Switzerland tonight for a place in the last four of the competition, as they look to close in on another final despite being far from their best so far.

Friday night's games saw Spain and France progress against Germany and Portugal respectively in what has been dubbed the harder side of the draw, with Netherlands against Turkey the other semi-final on England's side.

Southgate has again insisted that England are not on the easy side of the draw despite the potentially favourable fixtures, and the It's All Kicking Off! team have been debating the manager's words on the latest episode of the podcast.

Mail Sport's Ian Ladyman has admitted that he doesn't often disagree with Southgate, but explained why he feels the England boss has got it wrong on this occasion.

Ian Herbert, meanwhile, pointed to the actions of one England player in particular, and suggested that the behaviour hasn't mirrored the ethos that Southgate is trying to present of his side.
