One lucky punter has turned just under £1 into over £1,000 with Paddy Power's Super Sub offer.

The betting firm's newest campaign for Euro 2024 offers punters the chance to win their bets even when players they may have bet on have been substituted in relevant games.

If, for example, a bet had been placed on Conor Gallagher to score agaisnt Slovenia, it would still have stood if Kobbie Mainoo, who replaced the midfielder at half time, had netted.

It was a long-range Multi-Match Bet Builder that delivered the success for the punter, with Germany's 2-0 win over Hungary coming into play for them to secure their winnings.

In doing so, their 92p bet returned £1,268, which represents a good return but may leave them scratching their heads over what could have been had they put more on it.

That didn't happen, and he was withdrawn in the 58th minute for Leroy Sane, but, through Super Sub, the bet moved over to the Bayern Munich man.

It took Sane just over 15 minutes to secure the bet, keeping the punter's hopes of winning alive.
