Port Adelaide president David Koch is very protective of his beloved club, which is why the floor manager on his popular morning television show couldn't resist taking a cheeky dig.

Monday saw the Philadelphia Eagles take on the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl, the NFL equivalent of the AFL grand final.

It is a huge spectacle watched all over the world and 'Floor Manager Mitch' AKA Mitch Healy took the opportunity to poke fun at his famous boss.

As Kochie and co-host Barr were about to go live when he delivered the cheeky quip.

'Super Bowl Monday mate,' he said.

'One day Port Adelaide will make some big game like that I reckon.'

After Koch and Barr has filmed their segment and they were no longer live, the Port Adelaide boss responded in kind, flipping the middle finger at his cheeky floor manager.

It's not the first time that Healey has launched a cheeky sledge at Kochie.

In November, he was about to throw to the Sunrise hosts when he said: 'That tie is an absolute shocker, mate. But it's Monday. You can recover.'

Kochie and Natalie were left in stunned shock as the camera panned to them before he replied: 'Thanks Mitch' for the sledge.

That incident had fans in hysterics, with one replying on TikTok that they should make Floor Manager Mitch and Kochie a regular segment.

In December, Mitch was at it again. He rallied the behind-the-scenes crew to all wear bald caps to poke fun at the follically-challenged Kochie.

'How long will it take him to notice?' he said with a cheeky grin.

Barr was the first to cotton on, breaking into a huge smile and then laughter.

Finally Kochie noticed, asking: 'why have they got those on?'

'You're all looking very handsome,' he said. 'Very handsome.'
