Kate Ritchie's retired rugby league player husband has been banned from approaching his wife after drinking or taking drugs.
Stuart Broughton Webb, 39, on Thursday agreed to a year-long apprehended violence order taken (AVO) taken against him by NSW Police.
The order said Webb must not be near Ms Ritchie, 41, for 'at least 12 hours after drinking alcohol or taking illicit drugs', a standard condition.
Webb wore his wedding band and hid his face behind dark sunglasses as he appeared at Waverley Local Court this morning.
Last week, Daily Mail Australia confirmed Ms Ritchie had moved out of the couple's marital home in Randwick, in Sydney's east.
The radio star is instead living at a separate $4.4million property owned by friends from the soap that made her famous, Home and Away.
The property has a substantial, free-standing granny flat where Kate is believed to be staying. The move, and court order, follows lengthy speculation that their relationship was strained, which Ms Ritchie denied.
Ms Ritchie, 41, is said to be 'appalled' that her relationship with Webb has been dragged through the headlines. Above, in happier times
Webb, a former NRL player for the St George Illawarra Dragons, has been caught by police drink driving on two separate occasions.
The latest was in March when he was fined $440 after blowing 0.083 when police stopped him, after reportedly running a red light at Avoca St, Randwick.
Police soon learned Webb was also allegedly driving on a suspended licence and he was brought before the courts.
The apprehended violence order followed an 'incident' at the couple's home, which is under investigation by NSW Police. No charges have been laid.

Ms Ritchie and Webb, who have a five-year-old daughter, have recently been spending weekends away in a last bid to save their marriage.
Webb's AVO also includes other standard requirements that he not assault, threaten, stalk, harass or intimidate the Gold Logie-winning actor and radio star.
In a bizarre coincidence, Ms Ritchie's one-time TV husband Joel Mcilroy this week faced court over an unrelated alleged incident.
McIlroy, who has Huntington's disease, is accused of bashing a policewoman in inner Sydney last month.
