Thanks dad: The moment Ivanka flashes a look of horror at father Donald after he jokes that the only thing they have in common is 'sex' during 2013 interview
- Trump made the remarks on The Wendy Williams show back in 2013
- Ivanka gave a more diplomatic answer, saying real estate or golf
- Trump is under pressure for his thoughts and comments on women
- The backlash has even led to a boycott of Ivanka's fashion brand
- Trump also declared his support for First Lady Michelle Obama
A bizarre interview has emerged with Donald Trump and his daughter Ivanka, in which he says the thing the pair have most in common is sex.
The segment was filmed in 2013, when the pair made an appearance on The Wendy Williams Show, but has been shared online more recently amid Trump's battle for the White House and sexualized comments he has made about women.
In the clip Trump also voices his support for Michelle Obama - who has been one of his biggest detractors during the election campaign.
Williams introduced a question-and-answer game called 'Fave Five', a regular feature on the show when Trump appeared with his daughter.
She asks: 'Ivanka, what's the favorite thing you have in common with your father?', who replies with: 'Either real estate or golf.'
Real estate, golf or sex? The bizarre clip has re-emerged in which Trump makes an off-the-cuff, crude joke about having sex in common with his daughter; she looks less than impressed
Composure recovered: Ivanka manages to quickly shrug off her father's remarks that came during a Q&A session on the Wendy Williams show
When she puts the same questions to Trump, he answers: 'Well, I was going to say sex, but I can't relate that to her', pointing to Ivanka.
It is not the first time Trump has courted controversy with remarks about his daughter.
In 2003, while talking to Howard Stern on his radio show he said: 'You know who's one of the great beauties of the world, according to everybody.
'And I helped create her. Ivanka. My daughter, Ivanka. She's six feet tall, she's got the best body.'
In the Wendy Williams Show clip, Trump also declares his support for First Lady Michelle Obama.
'I like her very much, I think she's a really nice woman.'
He does say he didn't agree with her attending the Oscars, commenting: 'I thought it was a little unusual to have politics mix with the movies', but he said that did not lessen his support for her.
'I do like her, I think she's terrific,' Trump said.
He also passed comment on the First Lady's hair, saying he did not approve of her bangs.
Close: Trump is joined by Ivanka, who has been one of his strongest assets during the election campaign, at the end of the second Presidential Debate
'I like her better the other way,' he said.
'I think she's a wonderful woman and a beautiful woman, I like her hair better the other way. She'd look great both ways.'
And he even admitted that he thought fondly of Barack Obama, saying: 'I like president Obama in my own way I like him.'
Although Trump has changed his tune when it comes to Obama, he seems to have maintained his respect for the First Lady.
Taking a rare swipe during a recent campaign stop in North Carolina, Trump criticized her for getting involved in the election, but has refrained from attacking her personally.
'We have a president. All he wants to do is campaign,' Trump said.
'His wife - all she wants to do is campaign.'
Trump brought up comments Michelle Obama made in a 2007 speech, in which she discussed the importance of looking after one's family, claiming they were a swipe his rival Hillary Clinton who at the time was running against Obama for the Democratic nomination.
'And I see how much his wife likes Hillary,' Trump said.
'But wasn't she the one that originally started the statement, If you can't take care of your home, right? You can't take care of the White House and the country? Where is that? I don't hear that.'
Trump also failed to refer to Michelle Obama by her name or titles, calling her 'his wife.'
Shifting views: In the clip, Trump also declares his support for First Lady Michelle Obama (pictured on October 21) although he seems to have changed his mind
On the contrary, Michelle Obama has not held back with her views on Trump. After tapes emerged of Trump making a series of lewd and sexually suggestive comments about women, the First Lady said she 'couldn't stop thinking about' his remarks.
'It has shaken me to my core in a way that I couldn't have predicted,' she said. 'This is not normal. This is not politics as usual', going on to say: 'strong men don't need to put down women to make themselves feel powerful.'
