A Republican running for Congress in Michigan posted a bizarre TikTok with an AI-generated voice of Martin Luther King Junior that claims the civil rights icon was 'back from the dead.'

'I have another dream! Yes, it is me, Martin Luther King. I came back from the dead to say something,' the King voice said. 'Anthony Hudson will be Michigan 8th District's next congressman.'

'Okay now I am going back where I came from, goodbye,' the voice went on.

The TikTok, which was first highlighted by the Heartland Signal, was later deleted after poor reception by the public.

A clip of the video posted on the Signal's X page prompted outrage among users.

'Hope the King family sues him into bankruptcy,' read one reply.

'Yikes! That is problematic in many many ways. So much cringe.'

Forty-six-year-old Hudson is the owner of a trucker company and once flirted with the idea of running for president.

Earlier this year Hudson declared on TikTok that he would not be paying taxes anymore.

'As long as the government is taking our tax paying dollars and they're using it to give to illegal immigration,' Hudson said in a viral TikTok, 'You're not gonna use my tax paying dollars to pay for your criminal activity in this country.'

He called on TikTok viewers to join him, reassuring them, 'you won't get in as much trouble as you think you will.'

Hudson is running in a GOP primary against two other candidates in August. All three are running to replace Democratic Rep. Dan Kildee, who is retiring.

The six-term Democrat won reelection in 2022 by more than 10 percentage points but the district has grown more conservative and is a target for Republicans.

Last month actress Scarlett Johansson said she was 'shocked, angered and in disbelief' when the company OpenAI  took her voice without her consent for a new ChatGPT project.

Johansson said that after she declined a deal to let the company use her voice, they went ahead and used a voice indistinguishable from her own.

'Last September, I received an offer from Sam Altman, who wanted to hire me to voice the current ChatGPT 4.0 system, ' the New York City native said. 'He told me that he felt that by my voicing the system, I could bridge the gap between tech companies and creatives and help consumers to feel comfortable with the seismic shift concerning humans and Al.

'He said he felt that my voice would be comforting to people. After much consideration and for personal reasons, declined the offer.'

Johansson said OpenAl 'reluctantly agreed to take down the 'Sky' voice' after she contacted them.

Johansson said she hopes the information she's gone public with prompts AI to publicly admit their actions, and for the government to step in and establish laws so AI cannot overstep its boundaries moving forward.

'In a time when we are all grappling with deepfakes and the protection of our own likeness, our own work, our own identities, I believe these are questions that deserve absolute clarity,' Johansson said.
