Charlamagne tha God says Kamala Harris has been 'handcuffed' by Biden's team and why he would NOT be 'disappointed' if she's president

Author and talk show host Charlamagne tha God expressed his disappointment with Vice President Kamala Harris suggesting she was prevented by President Joe Biden from doing anything inspiring.

The former ally of Harris, who was scolded by the vice president in an interview for his comments about Joe Biden, spoke to Fox News host Brian Kilmeade about how he viewed her and Biden ahead of the 2024 election.

Charlamagne said Harris was 'the reason' he endorsed Biden in 2020 but was disappointed with the results.

'She is handcuffed a lot by this administration,' he said.

Charlamagne used to be an ally of Harris, participating in campaign events with her during her failed presidential campaign.

'I know her and I know what she stands for, and I know the things that she wants to do that she may not necessarily in the position to do because she does not want to overstep the president,' he said.

Charlamagne said he would not be upset if Harris became the president.

'She wouldn't be any different than any other Democrat,' he said. 'What policies, what issues would she be so different on that President Obama was, President Biden was?'

He mocked people who said Americans should 'terrified' about the idea of Harris as president, claiming they said it only because she was a 'woman of color.'

Charlamagne was critical of Biden's commencement speech at Morehouse University to black men.

When asked whether he believed Biden's speech was inspiration, he laughed.

'No, not in no way shape or form, especially from someone who's been in politics as long as president Joe Biden,' he said.

He said graduates of the college were right to be dissatisfied with the president's speech.

'I would be wondering, well what have you done? I don't want to hear about the problems, I want to hear from you, the solutions,' he said.

Charlamagne also weighed in on the Trump 'hush money' trial in New York City, saying it was 'weird' for it to be the first trial against Trump, instead of a more serious issue like 'election interference.'

'It does look like a show, and it's going to be bad if that one gets thrown out because everybody's going to automatically just say, well all the other ones might be b.s. too.' he said.

Despite polls showing Trump earning as much as 20 percent of support from black Americans, Charlamagne said he believed the polls were 'slightly overstated.'

'I do think there will be an uptick,' he said.

Charlamagne is making the rounds in media with the release of his new book 'Get Honest or Die Lying.'

Speaking with Fox News host Greg Gutfeld on Tuesday night, he said he was not a fan of Trump and viewed him as a threat to the future of the country.

'I am one of the people who suffer from Trump Derangement Syndrome. I think he is a threat to democracy,' he said. 'I think that he led an attempted coup of this country. You know, he said he wanted to suspend the Constitution to overthrow the results of an election. At the least, that's just not a patriotic thing to say.'

Charlamagne was criticized by the hosts of The View for refusing to endorse Biden for president in 2024, calling both Biden and Trump 'trash' candidates.

'I thought it was irresponsible to say that both candidates are trash, when you're comparing President Biden, someone who's done incredible things for this country and someone who is facing 88 charges, and four indictments and is clearly criminal, in my view,' host Sunny Hostin said
